most varnish glows very slight GREEN under a blacklight which may give you an indication of age. The camera on my cell phone does not pickup the green well but it's a dull grass-green and there is a patch of color that picks up more pink maybe due to thinning of the finish on this old piece.
The wood is light from drying over the years, and shows age on the bottom
Sweet.
