Item description for Vintage Bird Earrings Cloisonne Guilloche Enamel Signed REO Pierced

This is a beautiful pair of cloisonné enamel bird earring. This pair of earrings can be worn in two different ways. They can be a long dangle pair or if you leave off the lower removable drop portion, they can be a short pair of earrings. You are getting two pairs for the price of one. They are signed on both sections of the earrings with REO and the Cat Hallmark that REO uses on the jewelry. They are a silver plated metal and has been enameled in white, red, and black with silver trim. The earrings are approximately 2 ¼ inches long and 1 inch wide. If you wear the top section alone it is 1 inch long by ½ inch wide.

These are in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. There are no chips or cracks to the enamel. There is some slight wear and patina on the silver tone backs, normal for earrings that have been worn. I did not try to polish them. They have an omega back pierced clasp (also called French Clips) in which a straight post has a hinge attached which allows the clip to come up and close around the post and rest against the earlobe. The omega clasp is the most secure clasp and is often found on heavier earrings. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.

These are perfect to wear with a little black dress for a dressy evening out, or with your favorite pair of jeans for a day of shopping. These would be a wonderful accessory addition to your wardrobe, they are sure to bring lots of compliments.
