Black Magic is the quintessential black elephant ear.  He is comfortable in full sun to full shade.  Hardy in Zone 7 and higher, but in cooler zones just bring in over the winter and place in a cool basement.

Makes a great center plant for containers, pond / bog plant, back of the border planting and is striking against chartreuse colored plantings.

These plants have been growing in 1 gallon pots and have healthy root systems.   I will remove the pot, moisture pack them for their time in transit, and possibly cut back some of his leaves to ensure his quick establishment in his new home.
