This is a vintage collectible ashtray from The Fairmont Hotels, built in 1890s by James Graham Fair who bought the land where the Fairmont San Francisco now stands, the first hotel to bear The Frairmont namesake. After surviving the earthquake of 1906, it finally opened in 1907. The hotel was acquired by Benamin Swig. Starting in the 1950s, Fairmont began developing a small chain of luxury hotels, now 7 properties across the United States.
Clear glass ashtray in excellent condition, 4-1/4" in diameter and stands 1" tall.
