Tracing its history to All American Aviation Inc. founded by de Pont family brothers Richard C du Pont, Alexis Felix du Pont, Jr and CEO Steven Gardner in 1939. It became Allegheny Airlines in 1953. Allegheny changed its name to USAIR in 1979 following the passage of the Airline Deregulation Act the previous year which enabled the airline to expand its route network into the southeastern United States. In early 1997, USAIR changed its name to US Airways with a new corporate identity.
Made exclusively for USAIR by Mayer China, USA in 1990. White ceramic with gold etching on the plate has some imperfections from age.
