Vintage oversized 11 x 14 in. US single-weight glossy copy photograph (not a vintage original photo printed at the time it was taken) from the 1930's musical comedy/romance DANCING LADY, released in 1933 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) and directed by Robert Z. Leonard. Joan Crawford stars as an attractive dancer who is rescued from jail by a rich man, who helps her to have her first big opportunity in a musical play on Broadway.

The image features a great publicity gag shot and depicts an interior long shot inside the backstage area of a Broadway theater as Ted Healy and His Stooges (Moe Howard, Curley Howard, and Larry Fine, who were billed as "Stagehands") and the film's director, Robert Z. Leonard, stand behind the film's star, Joan Crawford, as they all stare in disbelief at the fact the she knows how to sew (notice how her feet are pointed inwards)! Printed on single-weight stock with a glossy finish, this vintage oversized copy photograph was most likely printed in the 1960's or possibly earlier. It is in fine- condition with random creases on each corner; one pinhole beneath the top border near the left corner, one in the top right corner within the borders, and one in the bottom border near the left corner; and some scattered creases in the bottom half of the right border.

Dancing Lady marked the film debut of Fred Astaire and Joan Crawford became his very first on-screen dance partner. This was also the first time he wore his signature top hat and tails.
