The Samovar Tea Time Nesting Doll illustrates the Russian symbols of hospitality and welcome. Russians are famous the world over for their tea table, at the center of which stands the samovar, or self-boiling tea kettle. Each of the dolls offers tea table treats, from punch to sweet pies to flowers. An excellent addition to any matryoshka collect.

The doll is entirely hand painted at the Golden Cockerel workshop in St. Petersburg, Russia. The artists painstakingly hand paint every detail, beginning with backgrounds and moving to the finer elements that require a brush of very select Siberian squirrel hair. Then the dolls have multiple layers of non-toxic water-based lacquer applied.
