This is a vintage July 16, 1959 ticket stub for NBC show held at the Ziegfeld Theatre located at 54th St. at 6th Avenue, New York: L&M Cigarettes present The Jimmie Rodgers Show.

The Ziegfeld Theatre was a Broadway theatre built in 1927 and, opened February 2, 1927 with the musical Rio Rita. The second show was its most famous Jerome Kern's landmark musical Show Boart which opened December 27, 1927. During the Great Depression, the theatre became the Loew's Ziegfeld in 1933 which operated as a movie theater until showman Billy Rose bout it in 1944.

NBC leased the Ziegfeld Theatre for use as a television studio from 1955 to 1963 with The Perry Como Show and the Emmy Awards 1959 and 1961.

Despite public protests, the last musical to play at the theater was the musical Anya in November 29, 1965 and the Ziegfeld Theatre was town down in 1966  to make way for a skyscraper, the Fisher Bros. Burlington House.
