Description
This is a fabulous and unique vintage disco-era dress that is cleverly convertible from maxi to shorter dress.
Marked a vintage size 11/12, but smaller compared to modern sizes.
More like a modern size SMALL. Fits my size 2/4 dress form perfectly. Form measures 34 - 25 - 34.5. Fabric has stretch. Could work for a slightly larger size.
From the 1970's, confirmed by vintage ILGWU tag in dress.
This is a TWO PIECE DRESS.
There is a dress, with a tiered skirt.
Then there is a maxi skirt with elastic waist and wide ruffle at hem.
The dress can be worn over the maxi skirt to make an evening / maxi dress for special occasions.
Jersey knit, with some shine.
Peach.
THE DRESS
has a boat neck, edged with self binding,
There are slits at the sides, which exposes shoulders. A bow accents each shoulder.
Flutter sleeves.
Elastic waist.
Front bow.
Back bodice has deep scoop neckline, and is shirred / blouson / draped. It has a cape effect.
METAL back zip.
THE SKIRT
has an elastic waist, with wide ruffle at hem. Pull on.
NECKLACE NOT INCLUDED.
In excellent vintage condition with no damage save a few minor snags, no odors, no spots or stains.
Immaculately clean and ready to wear.
