Handmade Horse Bead Art Necklace

This Horse Piece was inspired by the beautiful creature that it is, for the Love of Horses and the freedom you feel when you ride.  Live to Ride-Ride to Live for all horse lovers.

The horse neck piece was made on a bead loom, one strand at a time.  It is made of glass seed beads and I also added Hematite, Carnelian gemstones and fresh water pearls right into the fringe.  The horse is made in white the background is a dark creamy beige color with black outline.  The side pieces include loose strands and then more beadwork where you will find more horses in a silhouette fashion. This is my own design.  My initials were added--artist signature--into the beadwork itself.  The only metal on this piece is the clasp at the end, it consists of sterling silver cones with a sterling silver hook style clasp, also handmade.  The total length of the piece is about 15" when lying on a table.  Necklace length is about 18", I can an an extender chain if you need more length.

The bead loom photo is a sample of a larger style of horse--it is shown just before it comes off the loom and then the fringe is added.

This piece was handmade, it has never been used/worn and is in brand new condition, it is ready to ship. 

I did a lot of beadwork and design at one time but there is just not enough time in the day.  I used to attend reenactment shows to sell my beadwork, jewelry and leather pieces.  One woman I sold this style to put it in a frame to hang on the wall of her home/horse ranch, she told me she made it accessible to take down and wear once in a while for it is a great piece of Bead Art that should also be worn(I'll leave that to you).

 

I no longer have the time to make these pieces so it is a one of a kind piece.
