Vintage original 27x41 in. US single-sided one-sheet poster from the popular 1980's comedy crime drama, PRIZZI'S HONOR, released in 1985 by 20th Century-Fox and directed by John Huston. Based upon the novel by Richard Condon, Charley Partanna (Jack Nicholson) is a hit-man who works for the Prizzis, one of the richest crime syndicate families in the country. Unbeknownst to Charley, the Prizzis just hired Irene Walker (Kathleen Turner), a free-lance killer, to eliminate someone who double-crossed them. When Irene and Charley fall in love, their jobs become complicated. Their jobs become impossible when each is given a contract that neither can go through with.

The design, which features artwork by Mike Bryan, depicts a medium shot of assassains Charley Partanna (Jack Nicholson) and Irene Walker (Kathleen Turner) as the happy framed are framed in the shape of a heart made out of bullet holes. Unrestored and rolled as originally issued, this vintage original one-sheet is in very fine- condition with light signs of wear on the corners. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws.

The studio, expecting the film to perform poorly at the box office, pushed for a relatively quick release onto home video. However, the film was one of the "sleeper" hits of the season, thanks to terrific reviews and positive word of mouth, and had a lengthy stay in theatres, and was still in theaters, in fact, when it was released to video stores. John Huston is the only director to direct two members of his own family to win Academy Awards. The first was his father, Walter Huston, in The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948), who won for "Best Actor in a Supporting Role," then his daughter, Anjelica Huston, won "Best Actress in a Supporting Role" for this movie. There are reports that John Huston's continual advice to Jack Nicholson before takes was, "Remember, he's stupid." The yellow jacket that Nicholson wears when he and Kathleen Turner are having a drink together was his own personal jacket; Anjelica Huston later purchased the jacket for Nicholson.
