Vintage original 27x41 in. US single-sided one-sheet poster from the popular 1980's period drama/romance, MRS. SOFFEL, released in 1984 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) and directed by Gillian Armstrong. Based upon a true story, Peter Soffel (Edward Hermann) is the stuffy warden of a remote American prison around the turn-of-the-century. His wife, Kate (Diane Keaton), finds herself attracted to prisoner Ed Biddle (Mel Gibson). She abandons her husband and children to help Ed and his brother, Jack (Matthew Modine), escape and accompanies them into the wintery wasteland.

The design features a beautiful interior medium shot of Mrs. Soffel (Diane Keaton) in the arms of handsome prisoner Ed Biddle (Mel Gibson) as the lovers share a tranquil moment together. Unrestored and rolled as originally issued, this vintage original one-sheet is in very fine- condition with a tiny 0.25 in. vertical tear with signs of wear around it on the center of the top border; a 0.75 in. horizontal tear on the right border in the top half; and light signs of wear on the corners. There are no pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws.

Diane Keaton received a Golden Global nomination for the "Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama" award.
