Measures approximately 4-1/16" X 6-1/32", 12 mimeographed pp held together by one staple at the front lower left corner, b&w illustrations, written and illustrated by PAGE BROWNTON, dated Winter 1953 (?), issue No. 1.
This is a genuine oddity -- a handmade science fiction fanzine from the Winter of 1953! The writer, artist, editor and publisher (PAGE BROWNTON) was about 13 years old at the time (check out his name on Google -- he's now a performance artist of folk related music in California!), and the 'zine is replete with typos, grammatical errors, odd and incorrect spellings, etc, as well as some very bizarre middle school artwork. Because this is the first (and only?) issue of TELLUS, much of the 'zine is devoted to begging the science fiction fan-base for stories, poetry, artwork, and so on, although there a few reviews of science fiction books and short stories.
This was found amongst my deceased buddy Ray's belongings in the fall of 2018 -- so a 1953 copy of TELLUS #1 somehow found its way to Minnesota over the course of nearly 70 years!
Shipping charges include postage (including USPS Tracking on domestic shipments), packaging materials, labor and fuel (the nearest post office is 14 MILES away!); but I do combine shipping charges on multiple items -- so fill up that cart NOW an' save some $$$!
