For your consideration is a vintage mid century Asian Chinese 8 immortals octagon collapsible box or container.  This is an open box that is covered in silk and then has the appliques of the 8 immortals.  They are hand cut and hand quilted silk appliques and has fine paper and bristle hair.  Each immortal has a detailed face.  This is 9 1/2" tall and 7" in diameter.  They have not been used and I did not put the bottom down completely for pictures as it fits really tight.   Great detail and fine workmanship.  Great gift idea or use.
