In this squeakquel Dave Seville (Jason Lee) is laid up in a French hospital (thanks to Alvin) and the boys are inevitably left in the care of Dave's lazy video-game playing cousin Toby (Zachary Levi). The chipmunks go to high school where harassing jocks treat the trio to men's room "swirlies", the chipmunks themselves prove adept at giving "wedgies".

Former promoter Ian (David Cross) is angry that the Chipmunks aren't his to manage anymore but soon comes across the female Chipettes--creating an unexpected hormonal consideration for the boys. Mayhem ensues with plenty of pop music mixes to entertain the kiddies.
