Racine Co. SILVER PLATE FOOTED Coffee/tea Pot SERVING Set OLDER MARK creamer & covered sugar bowl

Listing is for 3 piece tea/coffee set with covered sugar bowl & hinged cover creamer. Decorated in aesthetic gothic details in Triple silver plate. Sugar bowl is stamped "Racine Co. Silver plate triple plate 1405". 

Creamer pitcher & covered sugar bowl feature etched aesthetic design along with decorated band.

There is a decorated band around each piece that is decorated in gothic design please look at closeup photos. A wonderful Victorian set!!

The coffee server/pot & creamer are stamped 1405. Have not tried to clean inside any of the pieces. Very nice finish with some vintage patina. 

Set was made prior to 1882 as factory burned in May of 1882. Company relocated to Rockford, Il. Owners of this set were very proud of it & said it may be one of kind!! If you are a collector of Racine Co. silver-plate this set is a must have. Racine silver-plate is usually only found in dribs & drabs.

Hinged covered creamer pitcher 7 1/2" #1405 (Rare to have hinged cover on creamer!!)

Gently used minor signs of use. Found at a antique dealers quality estate sale.

Here is what the manufacturer site says:

The fire of May 5,1882, that destroyed seven square blocks of Downtown Racine. Attempts were made to move Racine Silver Plates’ materials to a safe uptown location, but the fire spread too rapidly. In the end, all that remained of the business was a few walls, smokestack and piles of melted silver.
The company wasn’t rebuilt in Racine. The City of Rockford, Ill. wooed its owners to rebuild there and the name was changed to Rockford Silver Plate Co.


Their goods are now classed with those of Rogers & Co., and other well known Eastern manufacturers, and are sold in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin and Michigan. 

This beautiful heavy silver-plated piece will add an elegant touch to any table setting.

Set adds drama to any table arrangement!!! Excellent condition with NO dents, cracks or repairs. Set has been gently used. May have minor scratches that do not effect use or display quality.

Would make a great gift or addition to the collector of Racine Co. Silverplate!! I believe this set is very difficult to find!! Have not found another like it!! Maybe  Museum quality. Aesthetic design Lovely!! Found at a very old estate on Lake Michigan. House was built in 1899!!
