Vintage original 11x14 in. US lobby card from the classic silent film comedy WORK, released in 1915 by Essanay and directed by Charlie Chaplin. Printed for a U.S. theatrical re-release during the 1940's or 1950's, the image features a great interior shot of Izzy A. Wake's Assistant (Charlie Chaplin) holding a trowel as he sits on a bed next to a beautiful blonde (Edna Purviance) while, unbeknownst to him, his left foot is inside a bucket of wallpaper paste. The left border features a nice full-length image of Chaplin holding his trademark cane and tipping his hat while a large portrait of him with a broken cigarette clenched between his teeth is depicted in the top right corner.

Printed on a thin photographic stock with a glossy finish, this vintage original reissue lobby card is in fine- condition with a 2.25 in. diagonal crease across the top left corner; a 3 in. horizontal crease beneath the top border in the center of the upper background area; a 0.5 in. vertical tear on the bottom border and light signs of wear on the tip of the bottom corners. The image quality is razor-sharp with fine detail and nice contrast.

PLEASE NOTE that this IS a vintage original lobby card that was issued by a low-budget distributor who chose to have them printed on photographic stock as opposed to the traditional thicker paper stock.
