Lee Pace wakes in an African jail with no memory of how he got there. Turns out, he's told, that theres a full on alien invasion of bi-ped robots destroying most humans and taking others captive. Nadia (Berenice Marlohe) a French foreign aid doctor in an adjoining cell brings him up to date and judging by his fatigues, he's a soldier. She calls him Bo because of his tattered name tag. They escape and decide to make their way to a nearby military base.
On the way Bo discovers his ability to absorb, conduct, and discharge electricity evidently from his close encounter. They come upon a fatally wounded photo-journalist (Jason Flemying of 'Snatch' & 'Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels') who gives them his camera with pictures that will lead them to the base. When they arrive at the base, Bo's true purpose will be revealed...
