LEGEND of the WITCHES: This is a rare documentary not found in any of my referance books. I believe it is a mixture of B&W and color footage in full screen. The historical origins of witchcraft in moon-worshipping and the witches' legend of creation. Initiation rites undergone by the modern witch's divination by birds and animals; Christianity's absorbtion of pagan rites; revenge killing; the Black Mass are all explored.

Featuring the infamous "King of the Witches" in the only known footage in existence of the King of Wicca. Alexander Sanders, who uses this documentary to guide us through his coven. By then, Sanders had been endorsed by a group of 1,623 practicing Wicans as 'King of the Witches' - with Maxine as 'Witch Queen' - and he turned into a media celebrity.

CITY of the DEAD: This classic B&W British horror film has been painstakingly restored in widescreen by VCI (with the co-operation of the British Film Institute) and is now complete and uncut; including more than 2 minutes of additional footage, which had been cut from the U.S. version, titled 'Horror Hotel'. This also marks the first time ever this uncut version has been seen on video with its original title.

Nan decides to use her vacation time to go to Whitewood for her senior paper research project, against the judgement of her boyfriend, Bill (Tom Naylor), and her brother Richard (Dennis Lotus). Driscoll, a native of Whitewood, suggests that Nan stay at the Ravens Inn.

After a strange and spooky nocturnal drive during which she picks up a mysterious hitchhiker, Nan arrives at Whitewood and takes her room at the inn, run by Mrs. Newlis - who bears a striking resemblance to a certain deceased witch. Nan borrows a book from the lovely local librarian (Betta St. John) and settles in for some good, solid fact-finding. When Nan fails to return on time, Bill and Richard feel she might be in trouble and go to Whitewood to find her...
