ITEM DESCRIPTION::---------Decent  example of a scarce piece of an  Imperial glass pattern---not sure of  age, but it looks vintage........No chips or cracks or distracting marks..........This flat  plate  measures  9.75" across and  1.125" high, with a base of  3.375" across.......Not sure of the exterior pattern....This plate looks like the vintage Open Rose carnival glass plate ....Item is not marked IG  and it does not have the exterior lustre rose pattern and base that the pieces from the 1960's exhibit......Glass is not totally opaque---it is somewhat translucent when held to a bright light....... Item DOES NOT glow under a black light.....The pattern on  front of the plate has a stronger mould pressing than the pattern on the back of the plate... 

---Anotherer told me this is  probably soapstone...I looked at various pictures of such type  glassware, and I feel this is more like milk glass...I can't say for sure what type of glass, age, or maker of this item ...I have described it and shown pictures....Some sellers call this type of glass "satin glass", but I don't know if that is correct or not...
