This hardcover book is in excellent+ condition.  The book is in excellent shape; the dust jacket has slight wear.  There is a slightly musty smell to the book - it should be fine if it is aired out or put in the sun for a while.

THE GREAT BOOK OF TRAINS by Brian Holllingsworth and Arthur Cook, has 406 pages devoted to locomotives and their history, containing "a lavishly illustrated and technically detailed description of 300 of the world's most famous locomotives."  The book measures 8.75" x 11.75".  

What a perfect book for anyone who has an interest in railroads and their history!
