Porcelain white Choken Art Bell which measures 5 1/2" in height.
The bell is designed and has 24KT applied gold-gilding around
the top of the stem holder. Images for this porcelain bell was created
by the artist etching pure copper and then gilding it with silver and gold.
This Chokin art form was handed down from generation to generation
for over eight-hundred years.
Made in Japan and condition is great condition
History listed on back of plate, THE ART OF CHOKIN The metal engravings from Japan are created bt the ancient art of Chokin.
Gilded with gold and silver, the engravings were originally
the armament of the SAMURAI warriors.
A beautiful piece to add to an Oriental collection.
Made in Japan and is good condition, with some slight wearing on the gold gilded edge.
