I am offering the 1930 FRANCE French CROSS decoration of the Combatant Commemorative bronze Medal Ribbon with original ribbon. The Croix du combattant (Combatant Cross) is a French decoration that recognizes, as its name implies, those who fought in combat for France. A cross patt?e with four arms in bronze, with a laurel wreath between the arms 36 mm across. engraved by de DOUMINC. Instituted 28th June 1930 for award to holders of the combatants card. Awarded to the veterans of the Great War and many of the participants of conflicts involving French forces since (including WW2, Korea, Indochina, North Africa, etc). with the inscription REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE surrounded by a wreath, the whole integrated into a cross patt?e. Reverse medallion depicts a radiant sword and the inscription CROIX DU COMBATTANT. Ribbon: light blue with 7 red stripes. Measurement: Overall 3 X 1 3/8, the cross is 1 3/8 X 1 3/8.
