Manuel Carbonell Austin Productions 1973 Gold Mother and Child First Kiss Sculpture 31" tall
Absolutely stunning sculpture by Latin American Master artist Manuel Carbonell. Regarded as one on the greatest sculptors of the 20th Century, Carbonell passed away in November of 2011. Interest in his work has since sky rocketed. This 1973 piece, ?First Kiss? was created by Carbonell for Austin Productions. Molded from plaster, with a metallic, gold painted finish. Signed Austin Productions. This was a limited run work of art, produced only in 1973 ? during the height of Carbonell?s career. Few of these have survived. Truly a rare, and remarkable piece for any collector of Cuban or Modern art.
Measures 21" long, 6 1/2" wide and 31" tall.
Weighs 32 pounds, 14 ounces.
