I believe these are new old stock. Came from my father who is in his 80's and has had them a long time! All seem to be in super shape, was kept in a plastic air tight container, so have maintained their stretch ability. However due to age, would not use them as they were intended, but as a collectible instead. Looks like material was made of cotton. The plastic container dates back to 1956-1959 era.
