Deer enjoy the leafy greens for forage and will also dig up the sugary roots to eat in late fall and throughout the winter months.
These beets can grow up to 1 foot long and weigh up to 2-5 lbs when mature. Needs thinning to make sure they have enough room to grow. Tops can grow 1-2' tall. Beet tops can be eaten, lightly grazed or fed to animals.
