Oceanic Gold; Seacell yarn, Three Ply. and similar items

Made from seaweed and cellulose, Seacell is a unique fiber, both soft and supple. Spun on my Ashford Traveler 1 wheel from tawny fibers, the resulting yarn is a rich and pale gold, and spun to fifteen wraps per inch. It's very soft, very breathable, and not dyed at all- also slightly scented. If you hold it to your nose, there's a faint hint of citrus. (This faint hint becomes a very potent odor indded when wet. If you hang it to dry, hang it outside. ) What you get: 320 yards of shimmering pale gold yarn. 48 hours of spinning and plying, 10 minutes of soaking, and a week of drying. Careful attention on every step of the process. The seaweed (Ascophyllum nodossum) is harvested from Icelandic Fjords using specially designed equipment that does not cause any permanent damage and only removes that part of the seaweed that is able to regenerate. Technically, the plant is horestail kelp, not seaweed. But no one asked me.
