Item description
This classic 1920s Flapper Sautoir is a superb example of the Art Deco roaring twenties style.
Measuring a dramatic 51 inches (approx. 130 cm), the necklace is constructed from uniform 6mm flat sided faceted French Jet beads. The 60 gram weight and cool-to-the-touch feel confirm this is quality antique glass. The rope secures with it's original matching covered slide-in, sometimes called barrel, clasp.

?Condition: Estate mint, glossy shine, stable cord, plan professional restring for heirloom longevity
?UV Authentication: Authentic French Jet "disappears" under UV light. Dark metal oxides in the molten glass do not fluoresce under long-wave UV. They absorb the UV making the beads jet black. The lack of any glow is a positive test for French jet.
?Material: Flat sided Czech Jablonec fire polished faceted French Jet beads, black silk

Strung on black silk. The rope is stable and ready to wear but plan to have it professionally restrung within the next decade. The flat sided beads really reflect any light source and the whole sautior sparkles.
