About the artist who created/ made this quilt. Her name is Arene Burgess, and her work is without a peer. She was a prolific quilter, often product-displayed items, then put them away for preservation. She was a Quilt Historian and teacher of quilting and applique. Arene's work is featured in the Quilters Hall of Fame in Marie Webster's Arene Burgess Collection. All her vintage quilts have been displayed; some come with a sleeve attached to the back.
