This is a rare, vintage phonograph record album by Dizzie Gillespie, entitled, "The Champ". Featuring Dizzy Gillespie, Milt Jackson, Bill Graham, Joe Carroll, Stuff Smith, Percy Heath, John Coltrane, Wynton Kelly. Record label: Savoy MG 12047 (Mono). RVG (Rudy Van Gelder) is etched in the matrix. Cover has that nice vintage glossy surface. Record comes in a white generic, non original inner sleeve. Uncertain if it even originally sold with an inner sleeve.
If further information is needed to establish its vintage, contact me prior to purchase (matrix numbers, etc.)
Condition of record is visually graded VG++ (very good ++), having a few very light non deep surface scratches. Cover is graded near mint, only having very light corner wear. Light age spot on the glossy surface as shown.
