The Amprobe DM-III is not a basic handheld multimeter ? it?s a professional three-phase power quality recorder and electrical diagnostic platform used for industrial troubleshooting, load studies, harmonics analysis, insulation testing, and ground resistance testing.
The original DM-III Multitest series was designed for:
Three-phase power analysis
Harmonics logging (up to 49th harmonic)
Voltage sag/surge recording
Power factor analysis
Energy/load recording
Insulation resistance testing up to 1000V
Ground resistance/resistivity testing
Phase rotation checks
The standard DM-III handled up to 1000A with clamp transducers, while the DM-III F version supported flexible 3000A probes.
