Item description
This is for a beautiful oil on canvas painting by the great Kerry Hallam signed lower left. While the title is unknown this is clearly Brant Point in Nantucket which he painted extensively. Hallam's work from this era is now very hard to find. While he has covered other subjects his sailing and seascapes are the most sought after.
This has tiny bumps and nicks here and there but nothing that detracts from the piece overall. The original thin gold frame, as found on most of his work from when he lived in Nantucket, complements the art very well. Great size at 24" x 20".
WIKI:
Hallam was born in Derbyshire, Northern England. He attended Chesterfield Art College for two years, earning a scholarship to London University where he graduated with the National Diploma in Painting. He moved to Nantucket Island in 1981 where he opened an art studio and gallery.
