Item description
This is a delightfully charming Victorian serving platter with a handpainted fairy, perched on a flower and conversing with a butterfly.
White china...possibly ironstone...with the fairy (or sprite?) in a flowing blue and white dress and artfully arranged brown hair.
She is perched on a dainty flower.
There is also a butterfly and a bird.
The scalloped shell-like sides have handpainted flowers and vines.
It has a partial mark on the bottom, but it was too incomplete for me to identify.
I just fell in love with this piece when I saw it - so pretty!
Excellent condition, save for some wear on gold trim, and also a few unnoticeable minor scratches that do not detract. No chips, cracks, or marks/stains.
From a smoke free home.
Measures 15" x 8" x 2 1/2" deep.
Weighs about three pounds.
