Item description
Blue Shelling Pea (Pisum sativum) is an heirloom variety originating from the Netherlands, traditionally known as Blauwschokkers. It is best known for its striking purple-blue pods, which grow on tall, vining plants that often reach 6?8 feet with support. This dual-purpose pea can be harvested young for fresh shelling or left to mature and dry for use as a soup pea. Valued for its ornamental appeal as well as its productivity and flavor, the Blue Shelling Pea remains a favorite in heritage gardens across Europe and North America
