Antique English Jacob Co?s Biscuits Four Shelf Shop Display Cabinet
F.E. Ellison Co. Bristol Designers and Manufacturers
This is a tall biscuit display cabinet that is made in mahogany, it would have held the tins at an angle so that the contents can be easily accessed and viewed, there are 4 rows each with lids which stay open when they are lifted. (The bottom shelf has no glass front and the two lower shelves are missing the hinges.}
The cabinet has a black and gold mirrored glass advertising sign. It also has a tin sign one one side that reads, "Leicester Magic Boot Polishes Are the Best". This is a tall and very attractive piece, it is in good condition with a little age related wear and it would be wonderful if it were to find its way back to a traditional cake shop. The cabinet would also work as bookcase or a shoe cupboard
The cabinet is 63? high, 33.5? wide and 14? deep.
