Poster stamps, the slightly larger cousin to postage stamps, came into use about the same time during the 1860s. This listing is for a cinderella stamp from Germany promoting Continental shoe heels, we believe it's circa the 1910s. The text reads "Wear Continental Shoe Rubber. A blessing for all!" It measures approximately 2 1/8 inches by 1 1/2 inches. Ungummed, well centered, good condition.
