Item description
COFFINITE
Uranium Rock: Weight: 12.6 oz.
Radiation: 35,600 cpm (counts-per-minute)
$28.00 + $12.80 shipping
This rock was found at Jurassic Canyon,
18 miles NW from Grants NM.
During the 1950s, residents of Grants NM
used a decorative front license plate that
stated, "GRANTS NM - URANIUM
CAPITAL OF THE USA" This license plate type
can be seen on display at the National Museum
of Nuclear History, located at the east end of
Albuquerque, 80 miles east of the uranium
field. This rock, at 12.6 oz weight, is
massively large; I carried it with other rocks
in my wagon for 1.5 miles from its original
site to my car; a weight-challenge for me,
age 79 ! The strongest spot on each rock
is identified with a white spot added with
typing correctional fluid.
