The item is made of cast metal brass. The picture frame has a Rococo, design of scrolling Acanthus leaves. This is a freestanding display picture frame. The frame can sit on a table and stand on its own with the rear foot, or hung on the wall with a hook you place into the wall. The frame is well-made and heavy, with a weight of nearly five pounds. The item is not marked by the maker. The item in total as shown measures about 17 inches high at the top of the back, and it is about 13 inches wide in total. The area that would accept a photograph measures about 10 inches high and 8 inches wide. I will make a backing material for you and have glass cut for the picture frame so you can use it to display a photograph. The item has some verdigris green discoloration on the brass metal and some wear (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item). The item is from an estate liquidation.
