Item description

SMABRODSFABRIKEN PRICK TIERP Cake Box Sheet Metal 1940's 9.25" H x 9.25" W x 8.50" D Cake packaging made of sheet metal. Decor in yellow, green and red. Text: Dot for the good taste! and SMABRODSFABRIKEN PRICK, TIERP on two sides of the package. On the other two logos for Prick. Pricks was started in 1933 by Sigge Eriksson and Rune Lofgren when they were 17 and 19 years old. They started with bread and cakes, but started the production of gingerbread quite immediately. It is unknown when the company was named Pricks. In 1944, Pricks was moved to premises on Hantverksgatan in Tierp. In 1968, Eriksson and Lofgren sold the company to Pepsi Cola. In 1976 it was sold to Cloetta. In 1982, Eckhardt Metzner Pricks took over from Cloetta. In 1991, Skogaholms Brod bought the company. At the turn of the year 2003, Skogaholms Brod sold to SwitsBake Int AB.
