Modernist Artist MICHAEL O'CONNELL (1898-1976) signed ABSTRACT COMPOSITION FISH BATIK TEXTILE ART that measures 25-3/4" x 36-1/2". Textile is hemmed at top bottom. Hems can be used as 3" wide rod pockets for hanging. Art is in very nice, clean, used condition - our RARE find for the month. We researched the artist artwork but are not sure of the exact production date or whether the artwork is considered the original or a licensed reproduction. He was a textile artist, with works held in the UK in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Museum of English Rural Life in Reading, and the collection of National Museums Scotland, and in Australia in the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra and in the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne.
