Ispirazione Novecento recalls the most classic espresso coffee of Italy in the late 1940s. It is a dark and intensely roasted cup that is inspired by the atmosphere of the traditional bars of the beginning of the century in our country, where coffee was consumed standing up. At the time, roasting machines, like pizza ovens, were often wood-fired. Roasting was necessarily slower and the choice of coffees used in the blends was largely dictated by what was most easily available, namely West African Robusta, East African Arabica and, of course, the beloved Brazil. An exotic touch in these early blends was given by Yemeni coffee, the first Arabica in history to be commercialized.? Ispirazione Novecento is an intense, very full-bodied espresso, with strong notes of spices, toasted nuts, with a dense and dark cream and a persistent and bitter aftertaste.
