The barometer instrument is in working condition. The barometer instrument portion was made in West Germany. The brass case has discoloration / verdigris buildup to the brass from being outdoors on a patio / pool Lanai and could be polished up with some effort to a bright and shiny finish. The barometer (see photos). The item is marked by the maker: Seth Thomas (see photos and determine the maker, the age, and the origin). The barometer measures in total about 3.25 inches deep from the front edge of the case to the backside, and it is about 5.25 inches wide across the case from side to side. The item has obvious tarnishing and oxidation to the solid brass case and some wear from age and use (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item).
