Inactive direct power triggers Intelligent Parking mode, conserving battery for G sensor surveillance for up to 2.5 weeks. If an event occurs, the battery wakes the Nextbase camera, capable of recording multiple incidents. It's not intended for standalone use like an action cam. Upon removal from direct power, the dash cam enters sleep mode, conserving battery for Intelligent Parking Mode. Adding the hardwire kit extends surveillance using the car?s battery. Do I have to use a Nextbase SD card? Our specially designed SD cards undergo rigorous testing to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.
