Item description

This is a rare 8.5" x 8.5' silk "Sweetheart Scarf" from World War II. These were often handmade by a soldiers girlfriend or wife. They were often given to the soldier as he departed with his group to a specific destination. A "good luck" charm if you will. They were also sometimes mailed overseas to the soldier. The edges show folds yet all is still intact. Could use a light pressing. Comes folded in a sleeve
