One of my favorite pass times is looking high and low to find unique, beautiful and sought after jewelry, gems, semi-precious stones and artifacts I can use in jewelry making. As an artist I can spot quality work and appreciate the effort put into it. Native American has always been my favorite but, I keep my eyes open for collectors pieces, vintage, sought after jewelry, and of course the great deals. It maybe the traveling and the treasure hunt that intrigues me but mostly its the excitment of acquiring the piece.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I've enjoyed finding them for you.
I've always hated this part, you're supposed to brag about how many years you've been an artist, how many shows, awards, and publications you've been in; I'll keep it simple just and say "lots" or too many to count. Yes, I'm a an accomplished professional artist who's been published in numerous books, publications, and magazines . Started coloring on walls when I was just a child. My parents saw something within me at that time and promoted my education in art. Since then I've worked with many different mediums loving them all. If I saw something I liked I learned how to make it. I've had my hands on just about every aspect of art you can think of and I'm still trying new things.
I found jewelry making very relaxing and have favored it ever since. I still do other things but I think lampwork, glass fusing and working with silver and various metals has quenched my needs for a while....at least for now.
You can preview my other works at http://www.OakCityGallery.com come for a vist after you're done here...see you there.
