Genuine Ford Motorcraft. Arrives fully assembled and ready for installation.
Connector Assembly Includes:
Connector Housing (20% glass reinforced. Knockoff Chinese version: not so much)
Grommet cap
PLR (Primary Lock Reinforcement Device)
CPA (Connector Position Assurance Device)
Mat seal
Ring seal
ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS (Cheap Chinese connectors actually allow arcing)
Voltage: 250 Volts
Current: 22.0 Amps
Contact Resistance: 10 milliohms max.
Dielectric Withstanding Voltage: 500 Volts DC
Insulation Resistance: 20 Megohms min.
You will want to reuse your factory original wiring and terminals.
1. Simply remove the wire/terminal assemblies from the old connector (feel free to break it apart as you have new ones! Just be careful to not damage your wire/terminals).
2. Do note the position of each wire in relation to the connector.
3. Insert the wire/terminals into the new connector. You should hear an audible click.
4. From the front of the connector, push the white PLR inward to lock the terminals in place.
5. Install connector on coil.
6. Push the red CPA forward to lock the connector in place.
7. Rinse and repeat with each connector.
8. Done.
